JOB SUMMARY: –
Ensures the successful implementation of all tests and to conduct related research and evaluation of these tests.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: –
- Develop and institute the required systems for the National Certificate of Secondary Education (NCSE).
- Update and maintain banks of test items for all tests administered by the Ministry of Education.
- Construct and conduct tests, pre-tests and other related materials for use in the Ministry of Education programme of educational testing.
- Participate in Test Review Committees.
- Visit Schools and District Offices to conduct meetings, hold seminars, and provide technical advice and guidance on issues related to student assessment.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:-
- A University Degree in one of the following subject areas:
- Mathematics/Natural Science/Technology Studies
- Social Sciences /Geography/Histor
- English
- Foreign Language
- Art/Music/Dance/Drama
- Post Graduate training and practical experience in Educational Testing, Measurement and Evaluation.
- Experience as a Teacher and/or School Administrator at the secondary level.
- Experience in assessment/program evaluation design would be considered as an asset.
- Any other equivalent combination of training and experience.
